Assuming standard conditions for Indian context, 5 feet 4 inches has been specified as an ideal human height so keeping 800mm height is ideal for counters which comes around waist height and are easy functional for cooking activities, also 1050mm height from the floor for bar table, service counters which helps in other allied activities in kitchen such chopping vegetables , breakfast etc. Just like that 600 mm height should be a clear workable space above the countertop for a functional cooking area.
